About Rat’s Red Hunting Service

Rat's Red Hunting Service is a pest control service based at 6 Tracy Place, Redwood, Christchurch 8051, New Zealand. The name says what we focus on: rats are the most destructive household pest in Canterbury — gnawing wiring, undermining insulation, contaminating food — and dealing with them properly takes more than scattering a few baits.

From our Redwood base we cover homes across Christchurch, working through rodents, cockroaches, ants, wasps and spiders. The approach is the same every time: identify the pest, knock the population down, close off how it got in, and check back to confirm the job held. No hype, no jargon — just the sequence that actually ends infestations.

Because we are local, we work with the pest calendar Canterbury gives us: rats pushing indoors through autumn, wasp colonies peaking in late summer, ants hunting water in dry spells, and cockroaches riding in on the warm weather. Timing control to that calendar is half the battle.
